Oil Fitler Options for Metric Motorcycles

When it comes to oil filters, don't limit yourself to over-priced OEM filters or "motorcycle specific" filters. Any filter with 20 X 1.5mm threads will work for your Kawasaki Nomad (or most metric bikes, for that matter). The shorter 2.5" stock filters will work, but after checking to make sure your bike has enough clearance, like the Nomad has, your better off using the3.5" filters.

All of these filters offer a 14 psi by-pass valve, an anti-drain back valve, a 2.3" O.D. gasket and are 2.5" or 3.5" long.

I have been using the Supertech 7317 filter for the last 20+ oil changes with great results. I choose to use it because of its value and availability (Walmart).
